The Facebook Dilemma

I am currently having a huge issue with Facebook. Apparently, I have breached community standards????? Lets see, for posting photos of some artworks and liking things in the feeds of the people I am following. Now that is truly sinister. I can see how much damage this would cause, not even! Actually I really can’t contain my cynicism and angst. For years I avoided having a Facebook account, but once I started up my new art business everyone kept saying, “you need to have a Facebook Page.” I have had an Instagram page for a long time, no issues. I do love the platform as it is very visual, which certainly appeals to me as an artist. Even though Facebook purchased Instagram, at this stage I have had no issues. Fingers crossed I guess!!

As a business this is incredibly frustrating. Although I have jumped through numerous hoops to get back access to my account after being 'literally kicked off’ whilst in the middle of doing things, it continues to happen, over and over and over. I have 2 factor authentication plus I provided proof of ID, so technically, I should be having the little blue tick that goes along with being verified. But as of this morning across both devices that I use, computer and mobile phone, again, “You are locked out for breaching community standards for 2 hours.” Going by what has happened over these last few weeks, that will escalate the next time I try to log in to 2 days, and then………… forever!! Even though I have written numerous emails to various Facebook addresses which are supposedly the ones to use. Not a single response. At the end of the day I have provided Facebook with everything PLUS more to verify who I am.

So, what to do now? Do I persevere and give myself a heart attack over the frustration and ridiculousness of it all. Or do I just dump it and go to TikTok?
