Inspired by her natural surroundings
Multi-disciplinary artist Leanne McCulloch creates a diverse range of unique art pieces to tantalize your spirit. From original mixed media & fluid art designs two meters in size, to captivating prints of the spectacular sunrises on the River Murray where she lives and works.
Always looking to experiment with new mediums, Leanne discovered High Flow Acrylics a few short years ago. This sparked a passion within that no other medium previously used had. An intuitive artist inspired by the vastness of nature and the intricate patterning and connections found throughout, this proved to be the perfect style of painting for Leanne to truly express the way she feels and sees the world through her inner self.
Figuring prominently in her current works
Trees have become an integral part of the way Leanne expresses herself. The Tree of Life symbol is ancient. In fact, this iconic symbol is almost as old as humans. It is seen as a mystical tree that connects the physical and spiritual worlds and appears in the mythology and folklore of cultures all around the world. In the Celtic world the bond and affection to trees is so deep they believed the actual trees were their ancestors, gatekeepers to the Celtic Otherworld. As such, the tree of life in Celtic Culture is sacred.
Whimsical Tree of Life designs are also a feature of Leanne’s very distinctive wooden charcuterie/grazing boards & towers. Trees provide us with the breath of life, without them we would struggle to be here.
“The journey of creation is an excitingly, all consuming journey. It is the fire that moves us constantly forward, feeds my soul and brings me joy. There is always something more to discover and to craft. Art is a journey that never ends.”

Colour is key - it stirs the soul and moves the heart
Leanne loves to use a mix of beautifully bright colours when creating. Colour affects us on levels we aren’t even conscious of and plays more of an influential role in our lives than we realize. It can affect our minds, bodies, and overall mood. Colours help us navigate the world around us and add richness to our lives. Under the influence of different colours we can feel and think differently.
A true nature spirit herself, Leanne also loves to collect and craft with natures bounty to bring you an exceptional range of excitingly different artworks and artisanal creations, including stunning wood and crystal wands, often adorned with the exotic feathers she finds on her morning walks through the Murrundi Wetland Reserve in Wellington.
