'Mermaids Gift' Wand

Materials: driftwood, shells, abalone, spirit quartz, phrenite, pewter mermaid charm, wire wrapping

This delicate wand is made with Spirit Quartz (also called Fairy or Cactus Quartz) and Prehnite crystals attached to driftwood. Bound with white and turquoise leathers tied with gold toned wires. Shell adornment consists of shells made up with baby abalone shell, broken shards, freshwater pearls and two Australian made lead free pewter charms, a mermaid and starfish.

Spirit Quartz - Spirit Quartz is a crystal for bringing Spirit into play with all aspects of one's inner and outer life. Prehnite - is considered a stone of unconditional love and the crystal to heal the healer. It enhances precognition and inner knowing. Enables you always to be prepared. Prehnite calms the environment and brings peace and protection. It teaches how to be in harmony with nature and the elemental forces. Helpful for “decluttering” – letting go of possessions you no longer need, aiding those who hoard possessions, or love, because of an inner lack. Prehnite alleviates nightmares, phobias and deep fears, uncovering and healing the dis-ease that creates them. It is a stone for dreaming and remembering. Beneficial for hyperactive children and the causes that underlie the condition.

Walking along the beach hunting for the treasures from Neptune's garden is a great passion of mine. These wands have been crafted with the beautiful shells and drift-woods I have collected. On our trip to Kangaroo Island a thought popped into my head as I was gazing along the beach wondering what glorious delights I would find, "broken is also beautiful." Always one to listen to inner wisdom, that thought changed my whole perspective and as I looked into the many rock pools with waves gently crashing in and out, I realized the colourful remnants of shells told stories of epic journeys and far away lands. These broken fragments were once homes for many delicate sea creatures and were indeed beautiful. With that epiphany in mind I have designed and created a range of spiritual tools for those who hear Neptune and the mermaids calling, incorporating both whole and delicate broken shards of shells. Most have been teamed with gorgeous, dyed freshwater pearls for that extra splash of colour and lustre. Who can resist an exotic pearl.
