A Selection of Sold Original Artworks
Artwork Commissions
Creating artwork for people’s personal space is indeed, an honour and a privilege. When taking on a commission I do like to personally see the space where the art will be hanging. A very visual person, ‘I need to see it’ to comprehend the dimensionality and take in all the elements within the space. But it is by no means an absolute essential. Photos or a video are also a good starting point to capture the essence of the space the artwork will hang in.
Being an Intuitive Artist I very much ‘go with the flow’ of things. I let the paint take me on the journey. I begin with pouring the background and then wait, sometimes for hours, sometimes for weeks, until the painting reveals all it has to say. So the process can be quite lengthy depending on the style of painting you are looking for. Drying times also depend on the amount of paint used, the high flow paints are literally like water and a painting can sometimes consist of many layers. Once the painting has completely dried there is an isolation coat applied and 2-3 layers of varnish for protection of the painting. Hanging fixtures are attached to the back and the painting is finished ready for delivery.
Below is a selection of artworks I have created to compliment people’s personal spaces.
Aditi - Sky Goddess
Large 1.5 x 1m gallery wrapped canvas created for the staircase wall in a stunning new, contemporary home nestled in the foothills of Adelaide SA.
Hera was created for the entrance to a stunning classic sandstone home in Somerton Park SA. I used very subtle tones to compliment the predominately ivory coloured home which is filled with family heirloom antiques.
Milky Way
This piece was painted to co-ordinate with a collection of the owners own band’s framed music CDs, and to compliment an eclectic style home in the Murraylands.
Aphrodite
Large 1.8 x 1.2m gallery wrapped canvas created to compliment an amazing black slate feature wall in the entrance of a new, contemporary home nestled in the foothills of Adelaide SA
The Conduit was a large 1.5m piece also created for the ivory home in Somerton Park SA. Pastel tones with very detailed gold leaves worked well with the antique styling of the home.
Custom Resin Art Tableware
Resin Art accessories are the newest addition to my creative art portfolio. These can be custom created to co-ordinate with your personal living space, or as a special gift for someone you know. Items can include coaster sets, place-mats, cheeseboards or trays. Coasters and place-mats are felt backed to protect the surface of your furniture. Each piece will be an individual artwork, no two the same. But the flow and design on each will all be complimentary to each other.
Resining is quite a lengthy process so do keep this in mind if ordering. I like to wait a week for the paint to dry and cure properly before I continue with the resin process. This also needs to cure for another week to ensure a completely hard finish.
Resin accessories are very easy to care for, just wipe over with a soft damp cloth (but no immersion in water due to the felt backing).
