A5 Black Leather Journal

Stunning rustic A5 (16.5 x 21.5cms), genuine leather, hand-bound journal/notebook. Possibilities are endless - use for an Inspiration Diary, Dream Recording, Art or Travel Journal.
Journal is made with a black genuine leather hide. Bound with a white waxed linen thread and is teamed with 130gsm artists cartridge paper signatures (signatures are the individual paper books which have been sewn inside, 8 in total, each consisting of 6 folded pages). 96 leaves which will give you 184 write-able pages. The paper is a premium grade fine tooth artists paper with good erasability. Perfect for finished drawing in pen, pencil, marker, charcoal & pastel.
Where possible I like to work with the natural edging of the hide to give the journal added character. Each hide is different with many lovely quirks - holes, differing colour gradients and natural blemishes. Attached wrap around lacing closes the journal. This is a firm 2.5mm leather, so is a more rigid covering, of course being natural leather, will be strong and durable. Journal has raw, unfinished edges which will soften and 'fluff' slightly with continued use, adding to the rustic appeal of this very distinctive book.
A feature of this journal is the inclusion of an art print at the front of an original painting I have sold, flanked by gold metallic and black specialty papers (due to the folding of the signatures there are 2 of these prints). Making this a very unique and special journal for the recording of all your art, precious words and dreams.
