A6 Tan Leather Journal

Materials: genuine leather, waxed linen thread, specialty papers, 130gsm tea stained art paper

This particular journal is made with a beautiful burnt orange/tan genuine leather hide. Bound with a black waxed linen thread and is teamed with 130gsm artists cartridge paper signatures (signatures are the individual paper books which have been sewn inside, 8 in total, each consisting of 6 folded pages). 96 leaves which will give you 156 write-able pages. The paper is a premium grade fine tooth paper with good erasability. Perfect for finished drawing in pen, pencil, marker, charcoal & pastel.

For an aged look I have tea stained the pages of this notebook. Using my favourite French Earl Grey tea of course. Pages are varying in depth of stain, some light and some quite heavily dipped with swirls of deeper colouring. Very unique gift.

Where possible I like to work with the natural edging of the hide to give the journal added character. Each hide is different with many lovely quirks - holes, differing colour gradients and natural blemishes. Attached wrap around lacing closes the journal. This is a fine 1.8mm leather, so please be aware this is not a rigid covering, but of course being natural leather, will be strong and durable.

A feature of this journal is the inclusion of gold specialty papers , two sets at the front and two at the back. Making this a very unique and special journal for the recording of all your art, precious words and dreams.
